Has just received a call from distressed owner after losing a treasured family ring during a walk through a park near a swamp in the Parramatta area of Sydney. Given to her by her mother, the ring had been cherished for more than 25 years. After her boyfriend spent two unsuccessful days searching with a metal detector, I began a careful search using my XP Metal detector and Quest XPointer Pro, covering more than one kilometre and a separate area of approximately 10 metres by 10 metres. Just two minutes later, I located and recovered the ring. The relief and emotion on the owner’s face were unforgettable—it was far more than jewellery; it was a precious family memory passed from her mother to her.
