MICHAEL OLIVER from LOST JEWELLERY RECOVERY Metal Detecting Services 0434 985 992 has been called out to find lost rings on Bondi Beach, Tamarama Beach, Shelly Beach, Manly Beach, Cronulla Beach and Coogee Beach this week. Many of the lost rings I've had to find this week have been underwater in the surf, I love the ocean Metal detecting.
Today we got a call from the owner's husband who was too devastated. She lost her ring and had to leave the beach as she was overwhelmed with stress. After speaking with the husband the search area was confirmed and before I started the search I reassured them both if your ring is in this location I will find it, if it is NOT here we will increase the search area till it's found. I'm not going anywhere till your ring is found!!
I grid out the search area and start my search using my XP Deus ll Metal Detector and Quest X-Pointer Pro (Pin Pointer) a few minutes into the search I find a bunch of bottle caps, the husband was getting very excited and was surprised at how small some of the metal targets the metal detector can detect and at depth. 20 minutes into the search and Bingo I get a great T.ID reading on my detector, I said this looks like it could be your ring. He asked how can you tell, I replied after finding over 1,000 rings. You understand what your detector is telling you by sound, depth and T.ID reading. I reach down with my quest X-Pointer Pro detector to locate the possible lost engagement ring and sure enough as I move the sand with my hand we BOTH see that beautiful glimmer of GOLD and he jumps shouting you bloody legend Michael it's remarkable you were able to guess just about every target before you dug it. I had my doubts Michael I have to Admit BUT with you being so confident I knew you would find my wife's ring THANK YOU Michael.
